Reinforced Concrete Structures

Reinforced concrete is the name of the building material manufactured using concrete and steel. The material formed by strengthening the concrete with iron rod elements is called “reinforced concrete”. Reinforced concrete elements used in the structure ( column, beam, floor, etc.) they are subjected to a number of stresses. Reinforced concrete refers to concrete with a suitable steel reinforcement in it to withstand bending and pulling forces. These two materials, which are well connected to each other by reinforced concrete, are provided to work together against external forces. For reinforced concrete, high compressive strength of concrete and high tensile strength of steel are used. Concrete has a great resistance to pressure, but cannot meet tensile stresses. Capillary cracks that can occur in concrete do not matter, as the steel placed in it will cover all tensile stresses in the enterprise.
